Camborne Youth Band held their first ever race night on Friday 19th April at the Tuckingmill Pavilions. The social event was organised to help raise funds for their forthcoming trip to the National Finals at Cheltenham Race Course on the 21st September this year.
Around 60 people attended the evening and for many of them, it was their first taste of a race night. Nine races were run during the evening, and it soon became apparent that some trainers were more fortunate than others, with one stable having a very lucky night! As well as the nine races there were quizzes, raffles and pasties on offer. A fantastic night was had by everyone and an amount of £395.00 raised towards Cheltenham.
