Members of Camborne Youth Band, together with the rest of the brass banding world, are celebrating the success of their inspirational conductor Alan Pope, who has been awarded the British Empire Medal in the New Year's Honours List for services to music and young people in Camborne. All those taught by Alan over the years are so pleased and proud that Alan's dedication to the future of brass banding in West Cornwall has been recognised and rewarded in this way.
