Camborne Youth leads traditional Remembrance Sunday parades

Camborne Youth Band recently marked the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War this Remembrance Sunday by leading the traditional parades through St Ives in the morning and Illogan in the afternoon.

Although the band started marching in the rain in St Ives, spirits were not dampened, and the sun broke through while it played by the War Memorial. It stayed dry for the band in Illogan later in the day, and once again, the members were proud to take part in the ceremony of remembrance, especially in this commemorative year and after the honour of playing at the Menin Gate in August.
